Only authorized an Eaton Customer Service Engineer or qualified service personnel authorized by Eaton may install the battery system. Detailed battery system installation instructions are found in the Eaton xStorage 400 Service Manual.
Eyelets are provided on the roof of the cabinet for use during manufacture of the equipment. The eyelets are not rated to lift the cabinet once it has been populated with equipment. Once populated with equipment, the cabinet must be lifted using the forklift openings near the bottom of the cabinet. The Eaton xStorage 400 is heavy (see ).
The control and monitoring panel for the xStorage 400 system is external to the main enclosure and can be found in the vicinity of the cabinet. The panel is kept under lock and key inside an enclosure that can only be opened by authorized personnel. There is no internal user accessible control panel.
Service personnel may request a copy of the completed Installation Checklist to verify all applicable equipment installations have been completed. The Installation Checklist MUST be completed prior to starting the xStorage 400 system for the first time. All packing materials and restraints have been removed from the cabinet.
