AmpereHour Energy, a full-stack energy storage solutions provider, in consortium with Indigrid, has commissioned BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd's (BRPL) 20 MW/40 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project at the BSES Rajdhani Kilokari Substation in Delhi.
Developed by BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) in collaboration with IndiGrid, Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP), Amperehour, and TERI, the 20 MW / 40 MWh BESS will directly benefit over one lakh residents in the Ashram-Kilokri area by providing up to four hours of power daily, two hours during the day and two at night.
The BESS provides four hours of uninterrupted backup power daily—two hours during afternoon peaks and two at night—helping replace fossil fuel based power generation during peak hours with renewable energy from solar or wind.
